01 Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Rooter Comp. ("we", "us", or "our"), the developer of Tersten Gel (the "App"), handles information when you use the App. The App includes local gameplay and, when Firebase is configured, online matches and leaderboards.
02 Information we handle
- Stored on your device: Your display name, best local score, language preference, and audio preference may be stored locally so the App can remember your settings and local progress.
- Online account and profile: For online features, Firebase Authentication creates an anonymous user identifier. The App may store that identifier, your display name, and online game statistics such as scores, wins, and losses.
- Online match information: If you use online matches, the App processes match or room codes, player display names, match settings, readiness and match status, scores, and gameplay progress. If you set an optional room password, it is included in the online room data. Do not reuse a password that you use for another service.
03 How we use information
Information is used to save your preferences and progress, operate online matches and leaderboards, and maintain the App's features. We do not use information collected through the App for direct marketing.
04 Storage and service providers
Local preferences and progress are stored on your device. Online account, match, and leaderboard information is processed using Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Realtime Database. Google may also process technical and network information, such as IP address and device or app information, when providing these services, in accordance with Google's policies.
The App does not request device location. The current App code does not include advertising or analytics SDKs.
05 Retention and deletion
Information stored locally remains on your device until you remove it or uninstall the App. Online information is retained while needed to provide online features. To request deletion of information associated with your online account, contact us at rootercomp@gmail.com and include "Tersten Gel data deletion request" in your message. We will take reasonable steps to locate and delete the associated information, subject to applicable legal obligations.
06 Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us so we can review and address the request.
07 Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the App. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
08 Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App or its data practices change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
